For the sixth time in eight seasons of the College Football Playoff, a Big Ten team has reached the four-team field.
This will be Michigan’s first appearance in the CFP when it faces No. 3 Georgia in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31. Only two other Big Ten teams have reached the playoff: Ohio State and Michigan State.
